OPP track down Ipperwash B&E suspect

OPP tracked down a suspect following an early morning residential break and enter in Lambton Shores Thursday.

Police responded at about 12:45 a.m. August 29 to a Beachway Drive address near Ipperwash Beach.

The homeowner was alerted to movement within his residence by CCTV, who then contacted police.

The intruder had gained access by breaching a door, and stole alcohol and food.

The suspect was found and arrested on Ipperwash Road with the help of the West Region Canine Unit, and Emergency Response Team.

A 49-year-old Kettle and Stony Point First Nations man is to appear in Sarnia court October 7 on break, enter and theft charges.
