Impaired charges laid following collision in Enniskillen

On June 29 at approximately 1:30 a.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Oil Heritage Road in Enniskillen Township.

Lambton OPP located the vehicle in the ditch on Oil Heritage Road.

Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and was transported to the Lambton OPP detachment to provide breath tests.

A 48-year-old St. Clair Township man has been charged with Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus and Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia at a later date.
