Sarnia police have responded to numerous public complaints about activity at The Cove Beach at Canatara Park. Police say a targeted enforcement response conducted Thursday, resulted in 12 tickets being handed out. They ranged from tresspassing and noise complaints, to public intoxication and drug use with the majority being alcohol-related. Cst. Nelson Amaral says the service will continue to show a heavy presence in the area.
