Bottles of Point Edward Gold maple syrup were sold for a minimum $10 donation with proceeds benefitting the Inn of the Good Shepherd and St. Joseph's Hospice.

Spokesperson Jack "Bo" Lea said the uniquely local product has made its way around the globe.

"Get this, we have our maple syrup in Rome, Beijing, we had it in Abu Dhabi and then all through the states Florida, Alabama, Georgia in B.C and Niagara Falls," said Lea.

Over 500 bottles were filled this year and $5,370 was raised for the two local charities.
