Wet grounds force car show relocation at Canatara

Cruise in the Park this Sunday is being relocated within Canatara Park.

Sarnia Street Machines spokesman Bill Shaw said the big field they normally use is flooded, so instead they're using the two west parking lots for the car show.

"There will be lots of people directing traffic to come into the park," he siad.  "There will still be an opportunity to sit to the side if it's sunny, which we're really hoping for. But your car is going to keep dry and we won't be towing anybody out -- there's just so much water right now."

Shaw said to get into the show is by donation with the money going to Pathway's Health Centre for Children.

Registration is from 8 a.m. until noon Sunday, and the car show is on from noon until 4 p.m.
