Big Wreck headlining Bluewater Borderfest August 9

More acts have been announced for this summer's Bluewater Borderfest music festival at Centennial Park.

Big Wreck will be the headliner on Friday, August 9, along with Tokyo Police Club, Texas King, and Rodney James and the Riot.

Spokesman Brian McNair said $2 per ticket will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society after the passing of Camlachie resident and Big Wreck guitarist Brian Doherty June 5.

"We plan on it being a great tribute to Brian, being a local boy and losing his battle with cancer this month," said McNair. "So, putting $2 per ticket toward the Canadian Cancer Society in his name, we hope to get huge support from the community."

Dennis DeYoung and The Music of STYX will headline the Saturday, August 10 show, supported by Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad.

Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Kelly Keagy of Night Ranger, and John Payne of Asia will perform August 11.

There are still some country acts to be announced for Thursday, August 8.
