A federal Crown corporation is looking to bridge a gap with the Sarnia-Lambton community.
About 30 Federal Bridge Corporation Limited [FBCL] employees spent the afternoon volunteering at the Inn of the Good Shepherd's Lodge Tuesday -- as part of Public Service Week in Canada.
CEO Natalie Kinloch said it was their first "in the community" support initiative.
"It's our team building exercise and by the laughter and conversations that are happening around the flower beds, the painting inside and planting the vegetable gardens, I think we are more than achieving our goals as a team," said Kinloch.
Kinloch said employees had already expressed interest in doing something similar next year.
"We look forward to finding causes that are near and dear to our employees' heart that we are able to support."
The corporation that owns the Canadian portion of the Blue Water Bridge also donated $7,500 to the Inn.
