Valley Axe has stepped up to host an outdoor viewing party for Wednesday's Toronto Raptors NBA final game in Oakland.
The Raps and Golden State Warriors are tied at one win each after splitting the first two games in Toronto.
Owner Bo Tait said it starts at 9 p.m. at the former Bluewater Fun Park on London Line.
"We can fit upwards of 500 people back there, and there's a lot of room to grow," said Tait. "We have a projector screen that we use for our movies that's about 30 feet large. We're also talking with a local company to bring in monitors for viewing on the side of the seating area."
Tait said entry is free and there's a stocked bar and food available from Mr. Chip. He said there are no pets allowed, and residents are encouraged to bring their own chair.
Similar parties are scheduled for Friday and Monday nights.
