Aamjiwnaang fire considered suspicious

A fire on Plain Lane at Aamjiwnaang First Nation is considered suspicious.

A vacant home in the area of Tashmoo Avenue and Churchill Road was fully engulfed in flames when Sarnia Fire and Rescue crews arrived around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The fire was extinguished, and no one was injured but the home received extensive damage.

Sarnia police were expected to be on scene throughout the day Thursday and were holding the residence as a crime scene pending further investigation.
