Sarnia-Lambton can expect wild temperature swings, and strong winds Thursday into Friday.
Environment Canada ended its freezing drizzle advisory late Thursday morning, and then issued a special weather statement warning of gusty winds.
The weather agency said very mild air will briefly push temperatures up to near 9 C (48 F) to 13 C (55 F) in the early evening, before a sharp Arctic cold front blasts through from the U.S. Midwest.
With the arrival of the cold front, strong southwest winds will gust up to 80 km/h, possibly even higher in some areas, and continue into Friday before dissipating in the afternoon.
There's even the chance of a thunderstorm.
Temperatures will quickly fall Thursday night with a wind chill of -14 C overnight.
Friday will be unseasonably cold with the temperature dropping to -8 C (18 F) in the afternoon, and the wind chill hitting -20 C (-4 F).
Normal temperatures for this time of year are forecast for early next week.
