Stolen VON plaques turned in to Sarnia police

Some of the plaques stolen from Sarnia's VON memorial last month have been turned in to city police.

On November 18, 2018, a number of plaques were pried from their concrete base in Centennial Park.

On Thursday, a good samaritan brought in a number of the stolen plaques to the police station, but unfortunately they aren't suitable for display again.

To date, no charges have been laid, and the investigation into the theft is continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jeff Rovers at 519-344-8861, extension 6159, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
