Wanted: female police officers

The Sarnia Police Service wants to hire more female officers.

Sergeant Jaime McCabe said they're hosting a "Women in Policing" seminar Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

"During the first hour, we'll be talking about the hiring process and OPC, the Ontario Police College," said Sergeant McCabe. "We'll take a short break and then four female officers will share their experiences in policing. We'll have a question and answer period afterwards and you need not stay for the entire time if you don't want to."

Pre-registration is advisable.

You can call Sergeant McCabe at 519-344-8861x6195 or email her at: 195@police.sarnia.on.ca

You can also register at 9:30 a.m. on December 1 but there will be limited seating.
