Former Sting captain makes Blues opening night roster

Jordan Kyrou will make his NHL debut Thursday night when his St. Louis Blues host the Winnipeg Jets.

The former Sarnia Sting captain cracked the club's opening night roster, where he's projected to play alongside Brayden Schenn and Jaden Schwartz on the Blues second line.

The 20-year-old Kyrou said it's a surreal feeling to make the NHL, and that it's something you dream about as a kid.

Fellow rookie, and former London Knight, Robert Thomas also made the Blues roster to start the season.
