Get Your Greek On

Everything Greek will be celebrated in downtown Sarnia this weekend at the 12th annual Greekfest.

Co-ordinator Ashley Tanguay says events are centred at the Scotiabank Parking Lot and along Christina St. from Lochiel St. N to Cromwell St.

Music begins at 5pm Friday with Greek dancing at at 6pm and 7:30pm.

"We have a lot of new things going on this year," says Tanguay. "We're having a toga party Friday night, DJ Phat Fingers and of course all the Greek food like souvlaki, sausages, tyropitas and spanakopitas."

Greekfest runs from 12pm until 11pm Saturday and noon until 5pm Sunday with traditional Greek food, dancing, vendors and a kids zone.
