The Point Edward Optimist Club is pleased with the results of its weekend Bridge Bash. Spokesman Rob Oberholzer says they dodged the bullet weather-wise.
"We had about 2,100 people come through the gates the two nights, and we estimate we're going to settle in somewhere around the $15,000 mark," says Oberholzer. " I can tell you people that came out were absolutely thrilled when they left, they loved the music lineup."
Proceeds from the event at the Blue Water Bridge go to the Point Edward waterfront splash pad and to other Optimist Club youth initiatives.
