Residents Encouraged To Direct Complaints To CN

Plympton-Wyoming residents are being encouraged to direct their complaints about railway crossings in the municipality to CN.

Mayor Lonny Napper says he's getting up to 15 calls a week about the condition of crossings.

"The biggest complaint is there are potholes and they are very dangerous for people going across the tracks," says Napper. "People are afraid of getting car damage and cyclists, they are just in a dangerous condition."

Mayor Napper says it's hoped added pressure from residents along with the municipality will force Canadian National to address railway conditions sooner rather than later.

He says the issue comes up every spring and summer.

Contact information can be found on CN's website.
