Andy Braet plays the saxophone with The Band of the Irish Guards, one of five bands in the Foot Guards Regiments whose main role is to guard the British monarch.

The band, which is permanently based at Wellington Barracks in St. Jame's, London, was providing musical support to the street liners.

Braet, a graduate of LCCVI, started playing the saxophone when he was 14 and is often featured as a soloist within the band.

He completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours at Western, then earned his Masters from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

While attending school, he joined the Canadian Forces as a member of the Ceremonial Guard and was a part of the Changing of the Guard in Ottawa.
