Report Of Body Prompts River Search

There was a large police presence along St. Clair Parkway in Corunna Thursday night.

Lambton OPP Sergeant Chris Millward says they received a call from a concerned resident shortly after 8pm, who had seen something floating in the St. Clair River.

"Someone believed they saw a possible human in the water," says Millward. "Officers attended and it didn't look like a human body, it was bobbing up and down like a pylon or ball in the water. Coast guard was called and there was some cameras from border services that were used as well and they didn't find anything."

The OPP Marine Unit along with air support and Shell employees conducted an extensive search for about 90 minutes.
