Alleged Impaired Drivers Arrested

Sarnia police arrested two alleged impaired drivers over the weekend.

Around 4pm Friday, an employee at a London Line business called police suspecting a customer was drunk.

Police stopped a suspect vehicle in the Cathcart Blvd. and Modeland Rd. area, that police say was straddling the lane dividing line.

A 47-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and following breath tests indicated he was over twice the legal limit.

And on Sunday at about 2pm, city police were called to a disturbance on Leopold Dr.

Witnesses told police that a man had returned home and while parking his vehicle in the driveway, had reversed into another vehicle three times.

Breath samples indicated a 64-year-old man was twice the legal limit. He was charged with impaired driving and mischief to property.
