CHL Canada-Russia Series Returning To Sarnia

International hockey is making its way back to Progressive Auto Sales arena this year.

Sarnia will host game three of the six-game CHL Canada-Russia series on November 8, pitting Team OHL against Team Russia.

It will be the fourth time Sarnia has hosted a game, with a 4-0 win for Team OHL in 2003, a 5-0 OHL win in 2006, and a 2-1 OHL victory in 2012.

Since the event first began in 2003, CHL teams have played to an overall record of 61-22-1-6 and have won 12 of the 15 series including three straight.

A total of 36 players from last season’s event competed in the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo including the Sting's Jordan Kyrou who was one of 17 CHL players to win gold for Canada.

Games are also being played in Kamloops, Vancouver, Oshawa, Sherbrooke, and Drummondville. The rosters have yet to be announced.

All games will be broadcast nationally on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
