UPDATE: Police Look For Witnesses To Downtown Stabbing

Sarnia police are appealing to witnesses to come forward in connection with a Sunday morning stabbing.

City police received a call around 8am about a man that had been stabbed in the area of Brock and Lochiel streets.

Constable John Sottosanti says they located the victim, a 32-year-old Sarnia man, at a home in the area of Forsyth and Davis streets.

"The victim was taken to hospital and later transferred to London hospital where he still remains," says Sottosanti.

The victim's name has not been released and police continue to investigate.

"At this time members of the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation branch are investigating the matter and are hoping for witnesses to come forward to assist," says Sottosanti.
