Sarnia police are investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles parked at Wawanosh Wetlands on Blackwell Side Rd. and the Suncor Trail on Modeland Rd. north of Hwy. 402.
Police say eight cars were broken into between October 4 and October 15. In each case, a purse or backpack was stolen.
Seven of the vehicles were locked and had the windows smashed out.
Residents are being urged to make sure valuables aren't left out in the open.
If you see anyone acting suspiciously, call police.
