Art Administrator, Downtown Promoter, Dies

The City of Sarnia is mourning the loss of art administrator and downtown promoter Ann Stirling who died July 30.

A co-founder and fundraiser of Art Walk and First Friday, Stirling also served as executive director of the Lawrence House for the Arts, Art Under Glass and was an ardent supporter of the revitalization of the city's core area.

In addition to being an arts administrator, her multifaceted career included time as a union organizer, chef, restaurant owner, caterer and Cosmopolitan model.

There will be visitation and a reception at 11:30am Saturday before a memorial service for Ann Stirling at 1pm at All Saints Church on Vidal St. at Charlotte St.

Arrangements entrusted to McCormack Funeral Home.

Donations can be made to the Inn of the Good Shepherd or a charity of choice.
