The Sarnia Library on Christina Street will remain closed until at least mid-August following a fire in the basement that occurred July 13.
Contractors say that substantial cleaning work related to the ventilation system needs to be done that could take about four weeks.
Patrons are encouraged to use the facilities of neighbouring libraries in Brights Grove, Corunna, Point Edward and the Mall Road Library in Sarnia.
Materials borrowed from the Sarnia Library can be returned to any library in the county and no additional fines will accrue during the closure.
