Bluewater Health has honoured longtime volunteer Jean Paisley for her 60 years of service, presenting her with a certificate and token of the hospital's appreciation on Wednesday.
Paisley was a nurse in pediatrics and surgery at the former Sarnia General Hospital before joining the Children's Auxiliary as a volunteer in 1957.
She was instrumental in auxiliary fundraising for the Maternal/Infant/Child program. She also served for more than 25 years throughout the hospital as a supportive care volunteer who spends time at patients' bedsides.
