Central Sarnia Fire Deemed Suspicious

Sarnia police criminal investigators are now looking into a fire early Saturday morning at a multi-unit dwelling on Davis St.

The blaze at 210 Davis near Brock St. broke out around 5am.

Constable John Sottosanti says the investigation is ongoing.

"After the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office conducted it's investigation of the house fire it was deemed to be suspicious in nature and now the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the incident," says Sottosanti.

Sottosanti says several occupants in the home at the time were able to escape uninjured.

Damage is estimated at $175,000.
