Lambton College Wins National Awards

Lambton College won three awards at the recent Enactus Canada Regional Exposition in Mississauga.

The TD Entrepreneurship Challenge recognized the team's work in transforming rural villages in Zambia through their One Seed and Hippy Peanut Butter projects in which farmers launched a peanut butter factory. One Seed taught 100 new Zambian trainers the techniques of no-till farming.

One Seed also took the Scotiabank EcoLiving Green Challenge. A drip irrigation system allowed a school to grow vegetables to provide food for students which in turn doubled enrollment.

Lambton also won the Capital One Financial Education Challenge for their strength in numbers project, a financial education program.
