Driver Charged Following Hwy. 402 Crash

A driver has been charged following a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 402 Tuesday morning.

Middlesex OPP officers responded after the vehicle drove into the eastbound ditch, just west of Carriage Rd. around 10am.

Police say the driver suffered minor injuries.

The driver has since been charged with careless driving, having liquor readily available and driving with expired plates.

The highway was down to one lane for about an hour while the scene was cleared.
