Serious Collision Investigated in Sarnia

Ontario Provincial Police spent over nine hours investigating a serious collision in Sarnia.

It happened around 2:20pm Saturday at the intersection of Hwy 40 and Plank Rd.

Police say the investigation has revealed that a transport truck and trailer had struck a small crossover type passenger vehicle within the intersection.  The transport truck driver was transported to hospital with moderate injuries.  The driver of the crossover was  transported to hospital with serious injuries.  Their names are not being released at this time.

The Sarnia Police Service, OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, Lambton EMS and the Sarnia Fire Department are helping the OPP with this investigation.  The intersection had been closed for several hours, with the OPP reporting the scene cleared before midnight Saturday.
