Sarnia police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a vicious assault and robbery in Germain Park August 26.
A 23-year-old Lambton County resident suffered substantial facial injuries when attacked from behind while he was walking through the park with a young woman.
Police say 26-year-old Ryan Walsh was arrested Wednesday and faces the same charges as well as uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
He was in custody pending a bail hearing.
Charges against a 21-year-old Sarnia woman were dropped.
The victim lost his Samsung Galaxy cell phone and a wallet containing cash in the incident.
