The City of Sarnia officially has a new director of parks and recreation.
City Manager Margaret Misek-Evans says Rob Harwood has assumed the position effective Thursday.
Harwood has over 30 years of experience in the department and most recently has been serving as manager of arenas and the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
Misek-Evans says he will continue to act in that capacity until a new manager is recruited.
The city still has two positions to fill on the senior management team including city clerk and corporate manager of human resources.
Chris Armstrong is retiring as of September 30 and Human Resources Advisor Kelly Edwards is assuming the role of acting manager until the position is filled.
