Sarnia-Lambton Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu is holding a series of town hall meetings to gather input on the current Federal voting system. The "first past the post" system has been in place for 150 years but the Liberal government is looking to change that. Gladu says there are many options to consider including proportional representation, preferred ranked ballots, online voting, and mandatory voting. She'll take the feedback to Ottawa December 1. The first town hall meeting gets underway at 6:30pm Tuesday evening at the Royal Canadian Legion in Plympton-Wyoming. There are also town halls planned in Mooretown (Moore Sports Complex) September 1, Petrolia (Royal Canadian Legion) September 6, Camlachie (Camlachie Community Centre) September 7 and in Sarnia (Royal Canadian Legion) September 8.
