It's the beginning of a new era Aug.29 when grade nine students from SCITS and St Clair register at the Wellington St. site. Students from both schools will consolidate at SCITS this year before moving over to St. Clair next September. Lambton Kent District School Board Superintendent of Education Gary Girardi says classrooms will be full. "The student body will be comprised of 1,060 students," he says. "There will be 94 staff which includes 70 teachers which will be a combination from both schools." The first day of school is September 6. The Board is expected to announce the name of the consolidated school at its meeting Tuesday night.
