Starting August 2 Sarnia City Hall is going to be locked outside of regular business hours. City Manager Margaret Misek-Evans says the intent is to ensure the safety of staff and the public and the security of the building. Concerns had been expressed about the general public having access after hours when the building is partially staffed. Regular business hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 5pm. City hall is closed on all statutory holidays. Exception will be made for scheduled meetings with the public outside of regular business hours, including council meetings. There is a mail drop box next to the Christina St. entrance.
