The second phase of Petrolia's "Big Dig" begins Monday, May 30. Detour signs and fences will go up and then construction will begin immediately thereafter. Initially, Petrolia Line from west of Fletcher St. to the east side of King St. will be closed. Businesses on Petrolia Line from Centre St. to Eureka will have their water shut off Monday from 9am until 4pm to allow crews to install a temporary water line. The project which will see major underground infrastructure installed, as well as new sidewalks, curbs and a road surface, will wrap up in the fall. Businesses will remain open.
