Two beaches and two marinas in Lambton County have been awarded the prestigious international Blue Flag designation again this year. Canatara Park Beach, Grand Bend Beach and the marinas in both Grand Bend and Port Franks were inspected by officials from Environmental Defence. Program Manager Ashley Wells says it's something to be proud of. "When you see a Blue Flag flying, you know that the beach or marina is clean and meets high safety, water quality and environmental standards," she says There are blue flags flying at 33 spots in Canada and 4,000 worldwide.
