Proposals Submitted For SSEC Naming Rights

After months of no interest, two proposals have been submitted to the City of Sarnia for naming rights for the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre (SSEC).

The proposals are currently under confidential review by staff and will be brought to city council in a report on May 9.

The city says there is no formal bid process or timeline associated with the naming rights for SSEC, which is why the two proposals are being reviewed as per the city's advertising and marketing policy.

No other bids have been made for the naming rights, despite a three month expression of interest period that closed on January 29.

In the past, naming rights on the building cost $35,000.
