CANstruction Goes 'Around The World'

"Around the World" is the theme of this years Inn of the Good Shepherd CANstruction event.

Inn Executive Director Myles Vanni says 15 teams will be assembling structures made of canned goods at Lambton Mall. The food used in the structures will support the food bank.

"The structures can range in size and some of them are huge, we have one that's about 5,000 cans," says Vanni. "It will be about 35,000 lbs of food we're hoping to raise, that's almost a whole month supply of food for us which is pretty critical of an event for us."

Teams begin building their structures Saturday morning.

Judging is scheduled for Sunday morning with awards handed out at 1pm.

The People's Choice award will be given out on March 17, St. Patrick's Day.
