UPDATED: Mobile Home Fire Ruled Accidental

Injuries in a fire at a trailer park in Sarnia's north end early Monday morning are not believed to be life threatening. One person was taken to Bluewater Health for the treatment of burns and smoke inhalation. Sarnia Fire and Rescue Platoon Chief Brad Allen says they responded to a fully involved structure fire around 2:25am in the 1100 block of Lakeshore Rd. just west of Murphy Rd.

"This was a mobile home structure, we had three stations respond, 15 firefighters," says Allen.

"The lone occupant had self-extricated and was later transported to hospital." Allen says the cold weather caused freezing problems for responding firefighters.

The cause of the blaze has been ruled accidental and electrical in nature. Damage is estimated at $80,000.
