One person has been taken to hospital following a basement apartment fire in Petrolia.
The Petrolia Fire Department says on Saturday around noon, firefighters from Petrolia and Wyoming attended the blaze at a four-plex in the 200-block of Eureka St.
Fire officials say an occupant of the apartment was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire and a damage estimate are unknown at this time, but the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office has attended the scene to investigate.
