United Way Passes Million Dollar Mark

The Sarnia-Lambton United Way has hit the 60 per cent mark in its annual fundraising campaign.

Executive Director Dave Brown says Suncor has helped them get to $1.178-million.

This year's goal is $1.95-million.

The next major fundraiser for the campaign is the eighth annual Locally Lambton Dinner.

Tickets for the event Saturday October 24 are now available at the United Way office for $45 each or $85 for two.

The United Way funds 22 member agencies providing 35 programs and services to area residents.
