Fentanyl Bust In Bend

A 35-year-old St. Clair Twp. man is charged with trafficking in a narcotic after being arrested Wednesday in Grand Bend. The OPP Street Crimes Unit says the arrest of a man just after 10am in the parking lot of a business was the result of an extensive investigation. Police allege the man was in possession of several unprescribed fentanyl patches. Steven Averill was in custody pending a bail hearing. The OPP says it hopes the just launched Patch 4 Patch Fentanyl Program will curb the unlawful use of the potent drug in Lambton County.
