OPP now say a federal offender known to frequent the Sarnia and Windsor areas has been apprehended.
The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad said today that 39-year-old Dale Monforton was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching parole.
Officials say Monforton turned himself in this morning to police in Leamington after information was released to the media.
He walked away from a Windsor half-way house while serving three years for armed robbery, robbery, break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime.
Police reported just before noon that Monforton was arrested without incident.
