There's finally some movement in the province's privatization of its lottery business. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation spokesman Tony Bitonti says Ontario Gaming East Limited Partnership has been named the service provider for the East Gaming Bundle. It includes the Thousand Islands Casino and the Slots at Kawartha Downs, as well as a new gaming facility to be built in Belleville or Quinte West. Bitonti says the naming of an operator for the Point Edward Casino is still some time away. The majority interest holder of Ontario Gaming East LP operates gaming, entertainment and hospitality facilities in B.C., Ontario, Nova Scotia and Washington State including a Four Diamond resort hotel.
