United Way Sets 2015 Goal

The United Way of Sarnia Lambton has announced its 2015 Campaign Goal. Executive Director Dave Brown says it's $1.95-million which is the amount that was raised last year. [audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Dave-Brown-1.mp3"][/audio]

The United Way supports 22 agencies which in turn provide 35 programs and services impacting the lives of thousands of Sarnia-Lambton residents. Brown reminds residents they can stipulate which of the 22 member agencies they which to donate to. The annual campaign officially kicks off September 15 with the Day of Caring.

Crash in Tilbury claims driver's life

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
