Shoreline Improvements Needed

It's a costly problem currently without any funding to correct it.

The city of Sarnia and the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority have been working for years to try to repair the Lake Huron shoreline in Brights Grove.

Mayor Mike Bradley says it's especially bad between Helen and Kenwick Streets. The engineering department is preparing a report.

Current high water levels and a significant storm last October, has further damaged inadequately protected sections of the public shoreline.

Crash in Tilbury claims driver's life

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
