Former Organizer Defends Float Down

A former organizer of the annual Port Huron Float Down insists the event is safe if proper precautions are taken. Erik Kimball, however, concedes there is no formal lead person or organizer for the unsanctioned event, set to take place this Sunday. A 19-year-old Michigan native drowned last year. Kimball says, despite that tragedy, the event, historically, has a good track record.
