Local internet service provider, EBTech is closing its doors after 21-years in business.
Marketing Manager John Hollingsworth says being a small, community-based internet service provider is no longer sustainable in this market.
He says the company started with two St. Pat's high school students running a computer cleaning company out of a basement.

Hollingsworth adds EBTech has always been about providing real customer service and offering the best at an affordable rate. The company has always supported local businesses, and has even hosted websites free of charge to charities and special interest groups.
Approximately 1000-2000 EBTech clients are now being transitioned to Chatham-based provider, TekSavvy and are eligible for a special offer to waive set-up fees until September 30.
Hollingsworth says the next item is to sort out is placement for their 12 workers.

EBTech officially closes its doors on July 31.
