Sarnia Police SUV (BlackburnNews.com file photo)A 24-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with dangerous driving, impaired driving and failing to stop for police after a chase through Sarnia around 2:30am Tuesday. Police say a car went through a red light at Wellington St. onto Indian Rd. and headed north at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was pursued as it sped down several side streets to try to evade police. The driver was eventually stopped on Montcalm Ave. and arrested.
Repairs are currently being done on a major water transmission line along Charing Cross Road, which supplies the Chatham Water Treatment Plant.
