Developing Sarnia As A Tourist Attraction

Businesses, homeowners and city hall are working towards making Sarnia a better tourist attraction.

At Wednesday's Tourism Summit, keynote speaker and tourism expert Roger Brooks spoke to the crowd about creating a better downtown experience for residents and visitors.

Brooks gave a checklist of over 40 items Sarnia could work on, but says it's a must to start with business owners.

Michele Stokley is the owner of Stoke's Bay restaurant and was excited to hear Brooks' advice. She says Sarnia really needs to focus on pedestrian attractions as well.

Brooks hopes the Tourist Summit acts as a push to help businesses and the city attract more visitors.
